What We Do

America’s future depends on families being able to feed themselves again.

We left that life because the toil was too much.

Technology and technique will be our salvation.

Our Mission - Democratized Homestead Tech

The technology we develop will be:

  • Open source

  • Professionally engineered

  • Tested

  • Properly documented

  • Manufacturable by people of ordinary skill

The technology can include, but is not limited to:

  • Microclimate weather stations

  • Water level sensors

  • Rainwater collection systems

  • Small tractors

  • Greenhouses

  • Planters

  • Electric fence energizers

A Message from the Farmgineer:

I don’t want anyone’s money. I have enough. This is about giving back. If you want to help, you can spread the message. We cannot rely on mysticism and traditional technique to give us a practical scale and time investment.

These designs are for single-family farms, also known as homesteads. There aren’t enough hours in the day to homestead without technology. A device that saves 6.8 minutes a day ends up saving 40 hours over the year.

You get two work weeks back in a year by saving 7 minutes a day.

The future of homesteading depends on democratized, micro-footprint technology that enables a fully functional homestead on less than an hour of labor per day.

I have a vision for open source that will change the world.

The current open source model:

  1. Fully voluntary with no compensation to creators

  2. Has no guaranteed testing, reviews, or oversight

  3. Is manufacturable only by an experienced developer/engineer

  4. Is not designed to any standard of quality

My vision for open source going forward:

  1. Has voluntary and paid engineer creators

  2. Contains notices of what is tested, reviewed, all under engineering oversight

  3. Can be manufactured by normal people

  4. Is designed to be low cost, reliable, and manufacturable
